Family panorama Mende Porter
For my first archiv project, I devoted myself to the Mende and Porter families. This book traces the little-known biographies of the descendants of Julius Mende (1809-1878), who found his way to Switzerland from Warsaw via Heidelberg and worked here as an early homeopath.
Some of his descendants also have surprising life stories, some of which are steeped in international glamour, like the couple on the cover.
Approximatley 180 illustrations, mainly historical photos, letters and records of the selected historical archive objects (documents, letters, photographs) from the years 1837-1970.
Seven personalities of the Mende and Porter families portrayed anecdotally.
